Rod Ladgrove began playing guitar in the sixties, inspired by the Beatles and a family steeped in country music. After 'cutting his teeth' in Melbourne cover bands, Rod joined the 'Blue Denim Band' with Johnny Chester in the 70's, appearing on many Australian television shows including 'Young Talent Time'.       After forming bands in the seventies and eighties, and after forming and touring with the
'Harmony Brothers' in the early nineties, Rod became disillusioned with the business, and in 1996 started a 'second career' as a High School Teacher in Queensland.

However, it wasn't long until the lure of music took over again. Whilst working and recording with bands such as
'The Cadillacs', Rod worked at perfecting the fingerstyle method he plays today. Combining walking bass lines with melody and rhythm, Rod throws in the occasional vocal as well as his "Python-esque' sense of humour.

Rod will be coming your way soon, and looks forward to meeting you. In the meantime, have a listen to and enjoy a sample
from his recently released CD album,
'Fingerstyler'.
